The Course

Get hands-on with the art and science of training and handling cattle the low-stress way. You’ll learn bovine behavior fundamentals—flight zones, point of balance, pressure-and-release—then apply them to everyday jobs like parlor entry, chute work, pasture moves, and acclimating heifers. We’ll also dig into facility design, simple conditioning plans, and practical tools such as activity collars, EID data, and checklists your whole crew can use.

By the end, you’ll move cattle calmly and faster, cut slips and kicks, boost milk yield or weight gain, and make the work safer for people and animals. Expect field-tested scripts, micro-drills, and case studies from beef and dairy operations you can copy tomorrow, plus guidance on audits, welfare standards, and KPI tracking. Ideal for producers, ranch hands, dairy managers, and ag students who want real results without fancy gear.

What you will learn

I started this course after years of guiding first-timers who wanted a simple, confidence-building path to caring for and working with cows. You’ll get a clear, step-by-step roadmap that turns the basics—behavior, calm handling, feeding, and daily health checks—into easy wins you can use right away. I carefully crafted each module from real farm experience, tested with beginners, and trimmed the fluff so you only learn what moves you forward. Lessons are bite-sized, jargon-free, and come with checklists, cheat sheets, and quick practice tasks so you feel progress from day one. Everything is organized into logical milestones with summaries and next steps, making it friendly, focused, and genuinely helpful for a true starter.

Your instructor

I’m Carole Soule, a teacher and lifelong student of stockmanship who has spent much of my career working hands-on with cattle and the people who care for them. My experience centers on humane handling, pasture-based management, and turning practical lessons from the barn into clear, actionable teaching. I love translating animal behavior into simple skills that make time with cattle safer, calmer, and more effective.

Cow Coaching is where all of that comes together. In this course, I guide learners to read bovine body language, plan low-stress moves, and build confidence—whether you’re new to cattle or refining your approach. I’m passionate about creating a respectful partnership between humans and cows, and I’m excited to share tools, stories, and practice that help you get great results while keeping animals and people at ease.
